Tovdata, a personal data protection solution company, announced the formal launch of Plip, a web-based B2B privacy policy documentation tool.

Plip, which recently ended its open beta testing period, offers a privacy notice and consent notice document creation and management for startups and companies. It allows easy creation and management of documents such as privacy policies, privacy notices, and consent forms for collecting and using personal information. In addition, it also supports consent forms to give specific and unambiguous information to obtain explicit consents for processing personal identification numbers or sensitive information.

Using the hint of typical examples provided and with the help of a Q&A steps, business owners can easily create customized documents within 30 minutes. The completed documents are provided as a web page with URL to reduce the resources required to encode and link on the Web.

Kang Dong-wook, CPO of ZUZU, who tried Plip during the open beta period, said, “Managing prior documents and linking them to the latest versions every time we update our policy was a hassle, but with Flip, automated management made updates much smoother.”

Park Hyo-jin, CEO of Tovdata, said, "The revised Personal Information Protection Act of South Korea, which was promulgated on March 14, includes a new provision on the evaluation of Korean privacy notices. As the implementation of the evaluation system is expected in July, it is time for companies to check and prepare their privacy documents to comply with the revised Act. Tovdata is a startup founded by CEO Park Hyo-jin, who graduated from KAIST, and researchers from KAIST Institute for IT Convergence. The company started its business after performing joint international research between Korea and the EU for European General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) compliance, and has establishment in April 2020.
